Wildstar films - Sentient, coming to Disney+ in 2025
Once only humans were thought to be conscious, intelligent and capable of emotion beyond basic instinct, but new science is unlocking an astonishing truth. We are not alone.
For Sentient, Wildstar have teamed up with Darren Aronofsky's Protozoa to bring a fresh and innovative approach to premium natural history storytelling. We will show that life at all scales, from plants, animals and arguably, entire ecosystems, has aspects of Sentience, to reveal that there is no sharp line that separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom.
Sentient will take us inside the minds of those we share our planet with and force us to re-think our place in nature and change the way we treat all animals, domestic and wild.

BBC Natural History Unit - Mammals series
Mammals are found on every continent and in every ocean, from the coldest wildernesses to the hottest deserts, from the densest jungles to the darkest depths, this group of animals has evolved to master almost every habitat on our planet.
Full of new, never-before-seen behaviours, this definitive series for BBC One and iPlayer offers fascinating insights into the most successful animal group in the world. From the tiny Etruscan shrew to the giant blue whale, Mammals will reveal the secrets of their success, and how their winning design, incredible adaptability, unrivalled intelligence and unique sociability have all contributed to their remarkable rise.
Just 4% of today’s mammals are wild animals and many species face extinction. As well as giving BBC viewers an exciting new perspective on a remarkable group of animals, the series will also highlight many of the problems faced by mammals in today’s rapidly changing world.
Mammals, a 6 x 60’ series for BBC One and iPlayer, is made by BBC Studios Natural History Unit and co-produced by France Televisions, ZDF and BBC America. It was commissioned by Jack Bootle, Head of Commissioning, Specialist Factual and Sreya Biswas, Head of Natural History, BBC Commissioning. The Executive Producer is Roger Webb and the Series Producer is Scott Alexander.

In this compelling blue-chip nature series, five apex predators face the ultimate test to survive as their rapidly changing world impacts both their own lives and that of the wild kingdoms over which they rule. Those at the top are now being challenged. Territories are being redrawn and new relationships formed.
In this ever-shifting landscape, each predator must overcome new challenges and grasp new opportunities. For Polar Bears in Canada, Wild Dogs in Zimbabwe, Pumas in Chile, Lions in Botswana, and Cheetahs in Tanzania, this is the ultimate power struggle. The stakes have never been higher - who will win and who will lose?
We follow the stories of these five apex predators at a critical moment in their lives as they attempt to secure the future for the next generation. Grappling with multiple responsibilities these are deadly hunters, caring parents, and cunning survivors who hold secrets and thrilling stories in their quest to survive

Queens, coming to Disney+ in 2024
Queens explores female power in the natural world. The series features twelve incredible animal societies where females reign supreme. These queens are sisters, single mothers, grandmothers. Queens tells their stories of resilience, strength, love and loss for the first time and challenges conventional wisdom about the role of females and males in nature. More so now than ever we must look to the natural world to ask ‘is there a better way to lead?’
